The client offers powerful POS solutions as part of a fully integrated Hospitality Management System (HMS). The flexible, integrated and highly scalable packages of POS systems include inventory management, near real-time reporting, tailor-made reservation software and much more.

Business Needs and Objectives

The client approached Qualitest for assistance in implementing a back- and front-office integration, along with a POS upgrade. The client was migrating from an older system to the utilization of NCR systems, a daunting task that had never been performed on such a scale by the client. Furthermore, the client had very little expertise in testing this kind of project and integration.

It is important for POS applications to be reliable, scalable, maintainable, and highly secure, particularly as these systems are used globally, under changing business needs with budgets and aggressive schedules.

Including back and front office integration, along with the POS system, Qualitest has implemented automated testing and performance testing, with support installation and rollout. At this time, Qualitest has achieved 75% automated test coverage for the product.
