The client required testing of data transfer between smart meters and subsystems across 15 different models, including 1-phase and 3-phase meters.
02—Solution
Qualitest conducted end-to-end testing of data transfer between smart meters and subsystems (MDMHES workforce management, CRM, billing, DWH), performing both manual and automated acceptance testing. We tested firmware upgrades, data transfer on cellular and wired Power Line Communication (PLC) meters, and validated smart meter functionalities such as remote activation/deactivation, debt notifications, demand estimations, and CIM event alarms.
03—Result
By transitioning from manual to automated testing, regression run time was reduced by 90%, with zero human errors and 100% test coverage achieved.
