Our dedicated Ground Truth Analyst from Qualitest Madagascar puts all her energy into the things she loves and is passionate about, especially excelling in tools used for ground truth work.

The Qualitest journey

Rova began her journey at Qualitest in 2023 when QAnalyst merged with the company. “I’ve found immense satisfaction during my time here; it’s been a rewarding learning experience,” she shares. Rova notes that Malagasy and French are the primary languages in Madagascar, with English being the third. However, at Qualitest, English serves as the official language of communication. “My academic background in English for Specific Purposes during university studies has significantly contributed to my effectiveness within the company.”

Rova and her colleagues organize English clubs to enhance language skills and foster camaraderie. “We keep these workshops fun so that everyone feels encouraged to participate, interact, and share their work experiences.”

Life at Qualitest

Rova is particularly proud of a project she worked on that aimed at building inclusive models that are free from bias and cater to everyone’s needs. “Our goal was to develop models specifically designed to protect children from online abuse. It was a rewarding experience to be part of such an important initiative.”

When asked about what she enjoys most about the culture at Qualitest. “It’s all about teamwork, collaboration, and mentoring each other here,” Rova reflects. “Working at Qualitest feels comfortable and safe. My colleagues are approachable and helpful, making the environment supportive.”

Life beyond testing

When asked about life beyond the 9 to 5, Rova shares her deep concern for children’s rights. This commitment has led her to advocate for measures against online abuse and fight for the protection of children. “Being able to contribute to children’s rights both through work projects and my advocacy is something I’m extremely proud of.”

Rova also works with organizations conducting workshops to educate people about their electoral rights, particularly targeting youth. These workshops aim to empower young individuals so that they are made aware of their rights and can make informed decisions.

When asked about a leader who inspires her, Rova doesn’t hesitate. “Nelson Mandela, no doubt. His dedication to empowering his fellow citizens for a better world is truly remarkable. Despite facing apartheid, he envisioned an Africa of equality and freedom.”

And when it comes to her favorite books or podcasts, Rova admits she doesn’t have a single favorite. However, she enjoys those that delve into leadership and personal growth.
