The Client is a global cloud data management company based in Palo Alto, California. The company provides cloud-based backup, recovery, and archiving solutions to businesses of all sizes. Their cloud platform simplifies data backup and recovery processes, enabling enterprises to manage their data more effectively and efficiently. Their clients include Fortune 500 companies, leading technology firms, and government agencies.
Qualitest contracted with the Client to provide QA support for multiple tracks, including CPQ, ProdOps, AEM, Netsuite, Marketing, Customer Support, and Automation. Initially, the team consisted of five members, and their responsibility was to provide QA support for two tracks, Order to Cash and Customer Support. However, as the project progressed, the team expanded to include up to 14 members who provided end-to-end QA support for all seven major tracks.
The Client’s primary business objective is to provide its clients with the most reliable and efficient cloud data management solution possible. The company aims to deliver high-quality data products and services that meet the dynamic needs of its customers while maintaining a competitive edge in the data management marketplace.
To achieve these business aims, the Client sought to implement much higher test automation coverage. Implementing automation across all their modules had been proving a significant challenge for them due to the lack of skilled resources. The client required assistance in developing an automation framework to automate the testing process across all the tracks.
Qualitest first created and proposed to the Client a tailored strategic proof of concept based on vast expertise in automation testing and automation framework development. This demonstrated how an automation framework could be implemented for a Salesforce module like CPQ.
Enthused by the proof of concept, the Client was quick to embrace the potential for further automation implementation, and the opportunity was provided across all the other modules like marketing, AEM, customer support, and order management.
Collaborating with the Client, Qualitest designed and created the client’s own Java test framework.

We automated the test scripts around all tracks and gave maximum coverage, completing projects on time due to better understanding of the system requirements. Starting with module automation, eventually, Qualitest ended up doing E2E test automation covering the flow from marketing, sales, quote to order and order to invoice.

The Client led by Qualitest streamlined its testing processes and massively improved efficiency. By automation of manual tests and repetitive testing tasks, the Client has been able to reduce the time and resources required for testing, enabling the company to release products more quickly and efficiently.
