02, October 2018 – QualiTest, the world’s largest independent software testing company, has announced that Gerie Owen, QA Evangelist and international speaker and writer has been awarded Best Conference Paper at the South East European Testing Conference in Belgrade, Serbia, September 27 -28, 2018.
Gerie’s paper “How Did I Miss That Bug? Managing Cognitive Bias in Testing” was determined by the Program Committee as the most significant and relevant written contribution to this year’s conference.
“The competition for Best Paper was truly high; we had 75 submissions to the conference,” explained Mitko Mitkev, SEETEST Conference Chair. “Ms. Owen’s paper exemplifies the high quality that we demand for the submissions to be considered for the best of this conference.”
Gerie has over 20 years’ experience as a software tester, test lead and test manager. She is the author of many articles on technology including Agile and DevOps topics. She chooses her presentation topics based on her experiences in technology, what she has learned from them, and what she would like to do to improve them.
